REALISTIC MOCK-UPS
You send a photograph of the room. I design it and send back a realistic picture of the proposed direction, so you can see the room before you buy anything for it.
That is the difference between "I think this is what I want" and "yes, that is exactly what I want."
Can interior styling really be done virtually?
Yes. An Owen Sound project covered three major rooms, including a kitchen renovation, and I never physically visited the property. The clients implemented the plan themselves while I guided remotely.
What is the difference between an interior stylist and an interior designer?
I work as an interior stylist. I do not produce architectural or construction drawings and I do not claim credentials I do not have. I work on layout, finishes, furniture, lighting, sourcing and styling, alongside your architect or builder when there is one.
Do I have to live in Toronto to work with you?
No. Virtual work is location independent. In-person work covers the GTA and beyond, depending on the project.
Can I implement the design myself?
Yes, and most virtual clients do. You implement, or I help implement.
Can you work with furniture I already own?
Yes. Reusing what is already in the home is usually part of the plan, especially in smaller spaces.
Can you help with a renovation without acting as the architect?
Yes. I have worked alongside an architect and contractor on a down-to-the-studs renovation, translating the look the owners wanted into decisions the team could build.
